Frustrating afternoon!

Tuesday
This afternoon we returned to Menards to buy the patio table and chairs we had looked at the other day. We couldn’t get them in my car, so we rented one of their pick-up trucks, and took it round to the pick-up area. We were waiting quite a while for the stuff to appear, and when it did, it was just the table and a box with 2 chairs, so we then had to wait again while they came down with another box of two chairs! We were rather foolish at this point, as we could see the table box had been previously opened, and we would have had plenty of time to take the table out and check it, but we didn’t until we got home, and as you can probably guess, when we took it out, it was marked - nothing too drastic, but noticeable. So we unloaded the chairs, and headed back to the store. I should add at this point, it was a hot sunny early evening and the air conditioning wasn’t working! When we got to the store, we discovered they didn’t have another table, so we had to go to one of their other locations, checked the table this time (!) took it home, then Roger had to drive back to the original store to return the pick-up truck and pick up my car, while I stayed home and fixed something to eat - it was gone 8 pm by this point! We decided we both deserved a drink with our dinner!!
Not a very exciting blip I’m afraid, but all I took today, and it represents the most memorable part of the day!
