Pied Jackdaw

I popped over to see my parents this afternoon with Sons 1 and 2 and the dogs and met the latest member of my parents' colony of garden birds, a pied jackdaw. I never even knew there was such a thing but here he is pictured next to a regular one. I may have mentioned before that, as children, my brother and I had pet (rescue) jackdaws - never pied ones though!
