You Canna be Serious

You may be relieved to know that this is not another strange creature from beneath the soil, but a canna tuber - admittedly it does come from below the soil though. 
C planted out about 30 or so canna tubers today. I bet they wonder where they are, as our original plants were in Warwickshire, but they have moved house and over-wintered since then. They're looking pretty healthy so they should be ok. This is one of the several flowerbeds that have just been dug and are currently being planted.
