Yellow Poppies
Mum and I (well mainly Mum!) were a bit slow getting moving this morning, so we missed our mid-morning coffee - but a lunchtime coffee in one of our favourite garden centres was just as welcome. Our excuse was that it gave the Sun time to wake up as well, and by the time we thought about moving on, the clouds had cleared to blue skies.
Wandering though the North Kent countryside (down the narrowest roads the Sat Nav could find I think), we came across the National Trust's Emmetts Garden, and decided to take advantage of our membership cards for a quick visit.
Leaving Mum more or less to her own devices, I wandered round the rock garden getting in some more practise with the 70-300mm lens plus extender -giving a whopping 670mm full zoom on my crop sensor Canon 80D. I'm just loving the soft focus effect to my flower photography it is giving while still seeming to retain the sharpness of the subject (breezes permitting). A few more in extras.
