Stromness

Only a couple of hours work and then off to Stromness for my Folk Festival day.

Went to a step dancing workshop, then for a wander round. Music everywhere. Bumped into some visiting Shetland friends, so a quick catch up on a year's news, as I haven't seen them since last year's festival.

Up the hill to M's and a short walk to look at the Community allotments. Lots of changes there. The last time I visited was right at the beginning of their venture. They now have water collecting schemes, a shared polytunnel full of plants, as well as several very neat and well cared for outdoor plots.

Spent the evening at an excellent concert followed by supper and a dance. Long day!
