Come to scenic Nottinghamshire!

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel followed by a swim we headed into Nottingham. On the way in we passed Ratcliffe on Soar power station which, it has to be said, is a bit of an eyesore.

Visiting at the hospital didn't start until three so we had time for a wander round the shops followed by some lunch and the chance to get hopelessly lost in the middle of town and end up driving on tram only areas and pedestrian streets...

We eventually made it to the hospital and my mum was in reasonably good form considering she'd had a large piece of lung removed. The operation seemed to have gone well although they will keep doing tests for a while.

Thankfully we managed not to get lost on the way back to the hotel.
