Grandads peony

My sister in law has been staying with, and caring for her parents this week, giving Tom a much needed break. She popped in for a cup of tea this afternoon. We sat drinking tea and chatting in our sunny garden.

This peony, or rather it's descendant, was given to my mum by my paternal grandfather. It has two beautiful pinky red heads on it this year.

I don't think my photo does it justice. One side is too light due to the position of the sun. But I like the other half.
