North Norfolk Country Fair
A delightful morning this morning with A at the North Norfolk Country Fair at Weybourne. It's only a small fair outside a small village, but it has a taste of the things you have at a much larger fair. So after a wander round some bric a brac stalls (I bought jigsaws), a few animal pens, the vintage cars, various craft stalls and the mini food tent, we sat by the parade ring in the sun. We listened to the Blakeney Old Wild Rovers sing some sea shanties, watched the hilarious ferret racing, and the equally funny dog and duck show. The ducks were adamant they weren't going up the steps and down the slide into the paddling pool despite numerous attempts. Then when they went back into their pen, the sheep dog ran over and lay down in the paddling pool to have a bit of a cool down. We missed the falconry display unfortunately as we didn't hear the announcement. It's a really delightful fair, well worth a visit if you're local.
