Gannet in flight

We packed up and left our cottage on Arran and drove to Machrie where we had a walk on the beach. We saw gannets plunging into the sea, also ringed plovers and dunlin.

We got to Brodick to catch ferry but we had to hang around a while as our sailing was delayed. There was a dog in a motorbike pannier on the boat, it looked very cute with it’s head peeping out! Unfortunately my extras won’t upload or you could have seen it!

We really enjoyed our week on Arran. It’s a beautiful island with magnificent mountain and coastal scenery.
