Bonfire night - without the bonfire

Set off for the local park to see the bonfire and fireworks but it didn't all go to plan!

We had a quick visit to the fair which C enjoyed, then squelched through the mud to the bonfire - which wasn't lit. Sounds like they couldn't get it to light in the end! Then the fireworks started and in spite of cotton wool and ear muffs C started screaming that she didn't like them and wanted to go home!

In the end we came home with a Chinese - I think next year we will be just watching out of the window!

This was before the hysterics started - at least she liked the sparklers!
