Yellow Magic Orchestra - Day Tripper (1979)
One of the stranger (but far from being the strangest) covers of the Beatles, this was from Solid State Survivors, by the Yellow Magic Orchestra,  a Japanese electronic group from Tokyo, featuring Ryuichi Sakamoto (keyboards) who later worked with Davids Sylvian and Bowie. Heard on this day on The Chain.
