Caen Hill (Tuesday 29th May 2018)
I checked up on the cygnets again today and can report that the pair are looking big and healthy, and were strolling along the path between two side ponds with their mother. The cob was grazing nearby (see Extra). I spoke to one of the CRT volunteers and apparently the four that were lost were prey to gulls and pike.
For once I have chanced to take a picture on the right day for a challenge, and fitting the theme. The Tiny Tuesday theme is 'Soft' and few could argue about the suitability of the cygnets.
I also saw a heron catching a fish in the pond below.
