Green alkanet
Pentaglottis sempervirens
.. which I always want to call 'blue alkanet' - well you would, wouldn't you?
I love this plant. It gets pretty tall and I was hoping to blip it against a blue sky, but no chance today. We did have a couple of short spells where the light's been half reasonable, but we've also had some really big dumps of rain. Whatever, this flower always looks bright. If you go large you can see the petals have shiny flecks in them like mica, which helps the colour stand out.
Not much else. I'm feeling a little tired after the weekend, which is rather ridiculous. Never mind, tomorrow's an easy one :)
Enjoy your evening xx
