CLOSING

Sad blip today. Walked into town to discover a sign - this shop closed yesterday.

It was the last independent bakery in town - subsumed by the bigger shops and, presumably, never to return. No more early morning starts - or the smell of fresh bread being made ! No more a working smile from Mr Matthews.
