Ceanothus flowers...

...dripping with pollen (and not quite in focus!).

A phone call mid-morning seemed to throw the whole day off course. In a nutshell, it's going to to take a lot more work (and expense...) than anticipated for the builder to make safe our chimney and that of the house next door.

Other than that, another day spent mostly in the 'Music room', preparing to start the painting...
