Updated!

No2 son has brought me into the 21st century by replacing some sockets.  Can now charge my phone etc without unplugging something vital.
Has also fitted extra double sockets to avoid using so many adaptors.

He was surprised that I knew exactly where some spare matching tiles for the kitchen could be found.  He should have known they are in a drawer in the shed labelled 'tiles'!
