On Lap Nine in front of us, Rosberg launched his Mercedes off the back of the HRT of Karthikeyan as he misjudged how early the Indian driver would brake for the corner. There was smoke coming from the back of Karthikeyan's car so that might explain why he was slowing. The closing speed between the two cars was frightening. It was a huge crash - similar to when Schumacher hit Coulthard in the 1998 Belgian Grand Prix - and both drivers are lucky to walk away without injury.
