Teardrop lakes
Back blip
Another good breakfast and a trip to the shops to look at the clothes and buy a birthday cake for my Dad. We both found some clothes we liked in M&S and were lucky as we were given a 20% discount voucher from a lady who had been sent quite a few.
David carried the very heavy cake back to the hotel room. We had a rest and it had started to brighten up again so we walked to Teardrop lakes. Not as peaceful as the other park as it was close to the railway and road but still a nice setting. A few fisherman around and a few birds including this family of mallards that were really well camouflaged and I had missed them the first way round.I watched a couple of grey wagtails , bobbing up and down collecting flies. We sat on a bench and had our lunch.
By the time I had got back to the hotel my feet were really hurting and I discovered I had several huge water blisters by my toes.I managed to hobble to the restaurant where we had a delicious steak , cheese and biscuits and creme brûlée.
We had our free drinks at the hotel before bedtime. 300 people had arrived for an event at Silverstone tomorrow and for the Chelsea flower show.Breakfast might be interesting .
