An early morning visit

It's not very often that the loch in the Heritage Park has a surface like a mirror but at 9 o'clock this morning that's just what it was like with not a ripple or a wave.

At last the cygnets have appeared .... all eight of them .... probably about 10 days old now. They are still very cute unlike most of the goslings who have reached the gangly stage. 

The little pooper scooper van is kept very busy as it makes  an early morning circuit of the loch to clear up after the 50+ goslings.
