Picture perfect

Up at 03:30 to get ready fro try to airport.  left Edinburgh at 10oC:  arrived Budapest 31oC.  Survived the stag and hen dos on the flight - all well behaved

Settled in to our hotel then set off to get our bearings.  Lunch at street cafe where we saw men dangling off a roof - see extra - putting up a large sign.  Retweeted some of the First Minister's message of support for our volunteers.

Visited the main indoor market - never seen paprika in so many forms.  And wonderful produce - esp sweet cherries.

Thunder and lightning over the astonishing Parliament building then concert at the Matyas Church with its ornate interior - see other extra.

Strolled down to the funicular - main blip - admiring Budapest by night. Then back to hotel.  At midnight - still 21oC.
