Bedraggled

I was out and about fairly promptly with the dogs this morning and although it wasn't actually raining it was very, very damp out there as you can see from this spiky but rather bedraggled thistle head!

After my walk I set off to Edinburgh to visit my good friend who has recently had surgery. We've known each other since school days and it was non-stop chat! As I drove home in the dark there were occasional bursts of fireworks lighting up the sky which was great fun.
