Making parsnip soup

Gareth came in the morning and we went charity shop shopping! I ended up getting a kind of silky scarf thing for 99p and a really decent knitted jumper for just £1.99! I was very impressed! We also bought ingredients for parsnip soup and some very thick slices of bacon. When we got home we had BLT's for lunch with honestly the most delicious bacon EVER! We spent the afternoon making the soup and some rolls. Then, at about half 5 we went to Caerphilly for a firework display! It was AMAZING!!! It did rain a bit but fortunately Gareth had a most ginormous umbrella which could fit 6 people under!
Once it was over we had to wait 40 minutes for a train which wasn't so fun, but we did have some chips. Then we walked back to the house by the lake.It was soooo beautiful and it was quite misty and the streetlights made it look all mysterious and there were the most perfect reflections on the water. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me :(
Some people came back to the house with us and we had the soup and it was delicious!
