Still Waters

A moment of calm on the beach after a busy morning; dentist (thankfully not for me...that pleasure has yet to come!) and test-drive for my eldest. Bacon roll (for me!) and Eggs Benedict no less for the laddie down by the shore. The haar was drifting in and out, and the weather alternated between freezing cold to toasty. Just a typical  Scottish East coast early summer's day really.
Convinced my eldest that he owed me his company on a walk along the beach. Lovely to spend time together as he prepares to fly the nest.
I did laugh when he became concerned that his NEW shoes might get dirty on the beach. There was a time he would have cared less.
I could look out to sea forever...
