A Day of Fun
M and I and his daughter K (who is staying with us for a few days), all met B in Norwich today. K had not explored the city before so we had fun doing lots of tourist things.
We enjoyed a visit to the Cathedral first, main blip (thank you B for taking the photo). Then a wander around the Tudor Tombland area. Then the treat of lunch at the Assembly house. I decided to try their vegan option as I was curious to see what it was like, it was a spiced and roasted ‘cauliflower steak’ on a bed of mashed butter beans, with golden raisins and hazelnuts. It was absolutely delicious and surprisingly substantial.
After a quick diversion to John Lewis to look at irons (mine isn’t steaming anymore), we went to Norwich Castle, and enjoyed a walk around the various displays, before heading home.
We had such a fun day, so great to spend it with family and friends…happy memories indeed!
The extras are of the lovely lady who I chatted to while she was cleaning the font, she loves doing this weekly task, and really enjoys talking to those who come up to see the font, it looks absolutely pristine, she does a very thorough job.
I’ve also included an extra of one of the contemporary stained-glass windows reflected in another old leaded window inside the cathedral, and a doorway with spiral stairs…one of those subjects I love to photograph.
