Garden flowers and Starling gathering.
Paul and me were glad it was much cooler today after the humidity of Friday, but we miss the warmth we enjoyed last weekend in Grasmere.
We went to Accrington to get Paul's glasses adjusted as the metal nose pieces were too tight. I had a browse in Holland and Barratt, and bought a top up of Lutigold, for eye health, sourced from marigolds and containing lutein. Macular health is very important as my Mum's story has shown me.
Then we had some cheese on toast as I watched Little Buddha, an endearing film.
We drove to Booths for our food shopping and found several nice treats we were not planning to buy.
This included some beautiful biscuits called Annas original ginger thins, made by Lotus. The cherries were only £1 a punnet, and we found some Jazz apples .
So it will be prawn cocktail for starters, salmon salad for main, and fruit salad with greek yogurt and a ginger thin, or two, for afters.
The blip is taken in Rishton after it rained. The central photo cottage garden, belonged to Margaret who resided there well into her nineties, was loved by all and a good gardener.
