Lilac

i got this white lilac as a birthday present about 15 years ago and it is a real joy.  Sadly, it is also in the exact spot that my kitchen extension is going to be, so this is the last year it will be flowering, filling the garden with scent, feeding the birds and acting as a framework for summer solar light butterflies.  Feel really dreadful about demolishing it but it is too big to move and it really is in the wrong place.  I took some cuttings last autumn which seem to be dong well so I will be able to resurrect it somewhere else but I STILL feel bad about it!!
