Bookending at Broadslap...
Backblip
We have become so used to waking up to lovely light that we left our bedroom blinds open last night. It was lovely to wake up to more sunshine (this must be at least week 3.)
As our break was supposed to last until today (we had to come home a night early as we didn't have cover for Alan) and Lola wasn't getting dropped off till 2pm, we decided to bookend our trip with another visit to Broadslap, this time for breakfast. Good decision :-)
We stopped at the Coop on the way home for provisions then got back to see our boy who was only just up, showered and dressed! I stole loads of kisses and ignored him screwing his face up. He was excited because he had something for us. He had spent yesterday afternoon with Ally making crispy cakes and there was a pile of them to welcome us home along with a beautiful bunch of flowers and a lovely card. It was lovely :-))
Lola returned at 2pm, full of the joys. R gave her a first class report and I was delighted to hear him say how well behaved she's been, along with words like great fun, friendly, loving and a star. She also got along brilliantly with his two dogs and settled down fine to sleep beside them at night.
After giving us lots of cuddles she flaked out and slept the rest of the day. I think living in a house with two other dogs for four days has exhausted her!
Alan went for a swim in the afternoon and I started editing my photos (we forgot to pack the charging cable for my laptop so couldn't edit while we were away.
I also caught up with some emails (the house didn't have wifi. Bliss :-) and was a bit surprised to receive one from a retailer informing me their Christmas stock is in! Bit early, even for a christmas freak like me!
