Here comes the rain...

Another sunny morning but the weather forecast was for thunder and rain by 3pm.

David and I had lunch sitting outside and it was almost unbearably hot but I could see the clouds gathering and was determined to stay outside as long a possible.

The clouds covered the sun just as we finished lunch and the temperature dropped making sitting out a bit more bearable.

Around 3pm the first rumble of thunder was heard.  Lola was asleep but her head popped up immediately.  She put it back down again then reacted the same way when the next thunderclap arrived.  I was wondering how she would cope as I know lots of dogs get distressed by thunder, however by the third thunderclap Lola didn't even bat an eyelid and was fine with it.  Not that it lasted long.  

Finally the rain came down but it didn't last as long as I thought it would.  Think it's to be cloudy for the next few days before getting sunny again.  

In other news, David has checked if the same dates are available at the little holiday house next year.  We are just waiting for confirmation and if they are, we will re-book.  Already looking forward to it.
