Survivors

Very warm and sultry today.
After a couple of heavy showers on Friday evening and rain yesterday morning I decided to see what had survived in terms of blooms in the garden.

Three red Peonies are still intact as their heads are well down and all the pink ones are yet to come. These large poppies are just hanging on with some more to open. I liked the way they looked against the dark leaves and the sandstone boundary wall so decided against a close up.

Church curry evening to look forward to tonight. We missed the last one as we were away and we'll be away for the one next month.
Mouth's watering already!
