and Rachel, Margaret and I spent the afternoon at the market in the People’s Park in Dun Laoghaire today.

We had our main course sitting at the picnic tables at the end of the park listening to a blues group and enjoying the sea air. We had a browse at the stalls and it was then time for coffee which we took sitting at the fountain. It was there I spotted my ukulele teacher Dermot who was enjoying a cone from Teddys (see extra).

People watching is fun and so is street photography - the trouble is other people keep getting in the way. Tsk

As you all are no doubt aware this year is the 50th anniversary of the release of ‘2001 a Space Odyssey’. Tomorrow there is a special showing of the film in IMC Dun Laoghaire. I asked a bunch of my friends to go and I got various forms of the word No as reply. So I have my ticket booked, will bring a little lunch, dessert, bottle of cidona and enjoy the big screen experience.
