Memory Lane

My friend, who we're visiting, has been my friend since she moved in next door to me in 1976. (ish) when we lived in Inverness

Even after we moved down to Fife in 1984 we've still stayed best friends.

We chat, drink, cry, laugh, drink, cry with laughter, reminisce, drink, cry, drink, laugh.... every time we see each other.

I've seen her family grow up, go through good times and bad times... and now she has two of the most amazing, wonderful grown up children that now dote on my children and make them feel amazing.

I'm so proud to be her friend.
(we've agreed that we shall go in the same old folks home together and sneak in some drink and have parties with the other residents)

Today we did something that we used to do every week and we haven't done together for years ...(about 44!!!).... Roller skating!

We used to roller skate through The Islands in Inverness on our way to the roller disco at the local ice rink every week.

We had such a laugh... then and today!

Think the kids thought we were mad!
