Destination Cotswolds tonight ahead of driving the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class tomorrow. It is an important car for Mercedes because it is the latest version of their best-selling model. So some of this evening was spent on a test rig trying out all the clever new dashboard wizardry that comprises something they call NTG6, for new technology generation 6. You don’t like the colour of the dials? Press a button and you can change it. Want to swap around the positions of the satnav and other displays? Hey presto, and it’s done. Can’t be bothered to press buttons? Just say ‘Hey Mercedes ‘ and a digital servant answers to do whatever you ask.
