Broad-bodied Chaser [ male ]

I couldn't get near the dragonfly with the macro lens, so this was taken with the 400 mm and then cropped. The extra shot is of a common blue butterfly. 

I went out today on a Discovery Walk at the local nature reserve - Marton Mere Blackpool. On the first Tuesday of every month,  a group of us  walk round part of the reserve and record all the different species of birds, insects, mammals and wildflowers.
