Gateway to the countryside

A lovely sunny afternoon in the Peak District so I suggested hunting Dragonflies.

The Longdendale Trail at Torside was where I say one last week - Broad Bodied Chaser it was still there and the female was there ( but I failed to photpgraph it - too quick for me)  and Red Damselflies were around in numbers - added as extras.

Also the Marsh Orchids are appearing so I added one as well.

Lapwings still around and calling - Whitethroats were the noisiest birds in the wood and the Willow Warblers were feeding their nestlings near the trail.
