30 Days Wild Day 5 - Caterpillar web.

Yet another dry sunny day.  Lots of jobs done in the garden including making a start on cutting the hedge and having mown the grass (I hesitate to call it a lawn).

To try to keep within the ethos of the 30 days wild rather than take shots of wild things in the garden we went for a late afternoon walk looking for "wild things".  I may as the month goes on get desperate on busy days and fall back on wild things in the garden

The blip shows a caterpillar web.  I am fairly sure it is a moth from previous reports in the local paper of hedges covered by the webs.  However a number of butterflies and moths make similar webs.  The caterpillars emerge to feed and then return to the safety of the web hiding from predators.
