Priorities

I am not getting to visit my Mum from one week to the next because she’s at home with a lovely carer. Dad, in his lonely single room hospital bed is the priority in everyone’s mind.

Mum’s priority has become reading the Bible out loud, to whoever will listen. She read me John chapters 3-6, repeating herself often. She has to check who I am regularly but I am delighted that her priority has switched from scrabble letters to God’s Word.

Her dementia is increasing. Other than when she is reading, what she says doesn’t make any sense.
