Massive

Massive - and empty! Not far from the chaotic port area, up a ramp and round the back of a huge black tower, past the San Carlo Opera and an inexplicable mob of children dressed as ancient Egyptians, we came to this huge piazza in front of a Pantheon-like church flanked by twin arcades of (mostly shut and abandoned) shops. A couple of equestrian statues looked like ancient Romans - but there was no explanation.

Naples is huge and confusing - and I was glad to set sail again!
