Waxwing

I've had apples out for waxwings for a week or more without actually getting any visitors but today I saw that two were on them. Soon after, a whole lot more turned up, between tent-five and thirty. I had put the apples on a sort of trellis I'd taken off the outside wall and the birds were arguing and and bullying each other over access to the fruit. I sat in my living-room with the lens just poking through the slightly-ajar door and the waxwings were only about two to three metres away.
