Late last night I noticed a pool of water on the kitchen floor beside the sink, so I put down some towels to soak it (and any more overnight) up, then got the go-ahead this morning from the owners, on holiday in France, to call out the plumber. He has done a temporary repair, but reckons the leak had been caused by the dishwasher never having been correctly plumbed in! Oops!

Another scorcher, with thunder and rain in the late afternoon. Little Ruby was trembling in fear and snuggled up beside me.
