Chop Chop
I was invited along to a cookery demonstration at The Yard, in their fabby new kitchen, with Nick Nairn's head chef. It was a wonderful experience but I spent far too much time catching up with my Yard buddies and paid far too little attention to what was happening on the stove. We did stop our chatting however, to partake in the delicious meals that were appearing every 5 or 10 minutes. I managed to squeeze in by the cooker and saw the last few meals being prepared - so simple and so, so delicious. It was a real pleasure to have been invited along and so great to catch up with The Yardies again.
We then had a call from grandma to say that Little D was in a lot of pain again and really upset so we hopped in the car and made our way to theirs. The poor wee mite had been crying solidly for 2 hours but he'd started to perk up just as we arrived. It sounded just like Friday's episode so perhaps he's not out of the woods yet, will just have to keep a close eye on him.
Oh, and that small matter of the VAT return? Sorted!
