The Man in the Shadows
So I know I said a day trip to Oxford was on the cards, but unfortunately Andy ended up a lot more ill than any day so far, so this did not occur. It was also raining, and cold, and I was tired so the morning was spent being lazy bar a quick foray out for some more cough medicine. We had a bacon and sausage sandwich breakfast which did improve the day immensely and also caught up with Getting On. This programme is one of those that is quietly humorous, and really entertaining...definitely worth a watch.
After living on my own in France, I must admit I am still getting used to living (for the moment!) in a five six person house...bathrooms never seem to be free!
Although quite a lazy day, the highlight was possibly the new James Bond film, Skyfall. Amazing action scenes, and not a bad plot line. Also did the normal thing in Warwick/Leamington and bumped into a few old friends...Ollie (another language assistant, in the banlieues of Paris), and also the lovely Gareth and Claire (who are the nicest couple you could bump into!)
PLOT SPOILER ALERT
Must say, I was more upset at the destroying of the Volkswagen Beetles and (even worse!) a Aston Martin DB5 than the death of M! Also have a tiny little crush on the new Q...
Today was also a very foggy day, so was quite creepy walking to the cinema and back in the dark! This is one of Andy, and bless him for standing so long there while I fiddled with settings.
Wish I could say more about today, but it really was one of those lazy Sundays!
