Sometimes it is difficult to understand the meaning behind a bird's name.  For the Blue-Winged Teal, it becomes very obvious when in flight.  Pretty, aren't they?  I am happy to report that this pair are still residing at the pond.  I do hope that they have a nest...

I picked up my flight tickets for this summer's holiday in England. I will be very excited once this thing called work is over for the year  ; )
