I Knew they'd be trouble

I have tried to encourage the little swarm to settle in. They have built their own comb in awkward places. I have fed them syrup to get them started. But no.........they've flown off into the apple tree. Bye bye, awkward bees. I know when I'm beat. I have plenty of hive maintenance to do without chasing off after you lot.
To quote that well-known beekeeping expert, Ted Hooper, "Swarms of this sort are a liability rather than being of value " and speaking of one such swarm that he had tried to settle " I waved goodbye and did not bother to follow"
