Sea Mammals
My friend N and her daughter have just returned from a two week holiday in Florida. They stayed at the Walt Disney World Resort at a hotel where their balconies overlooked a landscape filled with exotic animals like giraffes and zebras. The giraffes apparently came to the balcony for breakfast each morning.
N showed us all her photo's today and the best lot were of her 5 year old daughter on Princess Day. Apparently there's a salon where they fit you in a real princess' dress, do your hair and sprinkle you with fairy dust. You get to sit on a throne whilst they do all this and then you get to walk about WDW and everyone says "hello Princess". For a 5 year old princess-mad girl, this must have been a living heaven.
N and her daughter have had a really hard couple of years. Lots of change and lots of tears before bedtime...for them both. They deserved a holiday and they deserved a bit of make believe for a few days.
I lent them my bridge camera for the holiday. My thanks was a bag of Dolphin Poop. The sea mammal poo actually tasted quite nice :-)
