Lucca

You probably think our spell of bad luck with weather has finished - well you'd be wrong.

It started pleasant enough and we decided to visit the walled city of Lucca. It was warm and sunny while we were there but as we left to drive the short distance to Arezzo south of Florence the storms built up with spectacular lightning.   To add to things,  we ran into a massive traffic jam in a long tunnel.  As we emerged it started raining and by the time we reached our campsite it was hammering down - and still is almost 3 hours later.

This site has a lovely pool (see extra) but I doubt we will be using it.

Fingers crossed for an improvement tomorrow!
