Day 1. Done the queueing for T-shirts bit, sussed out the loos and perused all the food outlets and merchandising stalls. Listen to bits of music here and there, but the main band for me today was always going to be the Danish group, Volbeat. I haven’t seen them before and they didn’t disappoint.

I’m with a couple of friends and a younger couple. Us oldies have come back to the car for the cake and coffee I packed specifically for a post festival snack. Now we’re waiting for the youngsters to arrive, as the final band have just finished.

Hurrah, they’re here! Home now to get some sleep before returning tomorrow.
