Through the square window

The view from No 2 son and daughter in laws house looks over Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum to the left and the bowling greens, Kelvin Way, and up to Park terrace on the right.

The Georgian homes of Park Terrace, designed by George Smith in the 1830s, began a New Town development in the heart of the city of Glasgow however most of the credit must go to Charles Wilson, whose designs in the middle of the 19th century, are mainly responsible for the elegant terraces leading up to Park Circus.

On the far right are two of the towers of Trinity College with Park Church Tower to the left in the background.

The former Trinity College is a landmark with its three towers is visible from all over the city. Constructed in 1857 as the Free Church College most of the original interiors were lost when the complex was converted to appartments in the 1980s.

The cream-colored Park Church Tower, part of a 1856 design by J. T. Rochead, is all that remains after the church building was demolished in the late 1960s.

This shot was taken through the glass hence this fuzzy ethereal quality. I don't know how the colours have turned out as they have but I really liked it when I saw it.
