Grey Peacock Pheasant

I have long wanted a photo of this pheasant at Birdland and I got my wish on Thursday. Usually it is at the foot of a very shady cage and under shrubbery but it must have been in a frisky mood and was up on a branch lettings its feelings be known with a loud cry. It was so close to the wire I struggled to get a shot but hit a lucky one with this image. In extras you can see the feathers on the body which give it its name.
