Foxgloves and alliums

Today's the day ............................ to expect

Everything's looking quite pretty - and pink - in the front garden just now.  But all the plants have one thing in common, they are desperate for a long drink.

All day, the sky has gone dark and there are loud rumbles of thunder.  We have waited expectantly for the downpour - but there have just been a few drops and then everything has gone back to normal.

We're beginning to forget what a shower of rain feels like ...................
