2018 Saturday — 2nd Day of Summer Vacation
Our afternoon concluded with a flat tire as we drove toward Morro Bay to do some grocery shopping. So we phoned Auto Club and “Chuck’s Towing” came to rescue us. We’ve had more flat tires with our Honda CR-V than any other car we’ve owned.
Our day began when my alarm clock sounded at 6:30 this morning. Not sure why I had set my alarm, but it woke me from a deep, deep sleep. It was apropos that our little coastal community was veiled in fog.
So a delicious cup of brewed coffee was next on our agenda. We watched the fog lift and the sunlight illuminate our yard. Then we did our daily Bible reading together— we are ahead in the New Testament and behind in the Old Testament— don’t even ask because I am not sure how that happened except that our schedule has been overflowing the past four months.
Then I cooked a late breakfast, fed the pups, made our bed, and then enjoyed a causal afternoon (until the flat tire episode).
